Visiting St Cristobal de las Casas

Sometimes in your travels you pass by some places that are just random pit stops along the way. St Cristobal de las Casas was one of those places. We were here for just 24 hours, and we had a hotel and that was it! From here we took several tours to other places and discover a bit more of Mexico, but we weren’t going to see much of the city, so I took it upon myself to give myself a short tour and take some snaps.

The city is located in the central Highlands region of Chiapas, surrounded by mountains. It is the capital of the region, and the city maintains the Spanish colonial architecture and layout. One of the things that really grabbed my attention was the private property architecture, the small homes and little courtyards that I imagine my whole life in. I didn’t have the chance to take a real tour but below you will find some photos of my little adventure and visit.

Keep reading, writing and travelling!
